Registration for the meeting will be open between 5-7 pm, anyone arriving at 7 pm will not be checked in.

Guest Speaker will be William Helmreich, Distinguished Professor of Sociology at City College of New York and at CUNY Graduate Center. His talk will be "The Manhattan Nobody Knows, With Some Emphasis on the Jewish Angle."
Helmreich has written 17 books including The New York Nobody Knows (Winner of the inaugural GANYC Award for best book); The Brooklyn Nobody Knows and the the just released The Manhattan Nobody Knows: An Urban Walking Guide, all with Princeton University Press. He has appeared on many TV and radio programs including Sunday Morning CBS News with Charles Osgood, Oprah, CNN, BBC, NRP, etc. and has written for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times. A profile of his work on New York will appear soon in The New Yorker.
