International Tourist Guide Day at MOCA

Please join the Education Committee for a celebration of International Tourist Guide Day, hosted at The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA), 215 Centre Street, NYC, on Friday, 21, 2020.

Registration is required.

Start the day at 10 a.m., with a curator-led tour of the Museum's current exhibit, Gathering: Collecting and Documenting Chinese American History. The tour is followed by a Dim Sum breakfast, and then a meeting with several guest speakers, including, Nancy Yao Maasbach, President of MOCA, and Andrew J. Padilla, award-winning filmmaker and independent journalist.

After the program ends around 2 pm, two members-only FAM tours are being offered. One is of Chinatown (currently full with a waitlist) will be led by GANYC Board member, Kevin Lawrence. The other is of Old St. Patrick's Cathedral (separate registration required), led by GANYC Insurance Committee Chair Tommy Wilkinson.

We will end the day with a Networking Happy Hour at Onieals Grand Street from 5 pm - 7 pm (open to members and non-members); please let us know if you will be in attendance via the separate event listing.
