The next GANYC monthly membership meeting will be conducted via the online meetings platform Zoom. The online meeting has a capacity of 500 registrants, and is open to the public. 

REGISTRATION

Registration for the Zoom Meeting is a 2-step process:

  1. Start by clicking the Yes button at the top of this e-mail. This will take you to the Wild Apricot site to register. 
  2. Once you complete Step One,  you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the link for registering for the Zoom Webinar. The subject of this e-mail will be "Event registration confirmed for GANYC February 2021 Membership Meeting (Online)" and come from the e-mail address Ganyc@wildapricot.org. Please make sure that this e-mail address is in your address book and if you do not receive this e-mail, check your spam folder. It is highly recommended you click the Zoom link to register in advance of the meeting.   

This two-step process allows us to credit our members for attending and ensures the integrity of our meeting. 

GUEST SPEAKERS:

Francis Morrone is an architectural historian and the author of 14 books, including "The New York Public Library: The Architecture and Decoration of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building." He teaches at New York University, where he founded the certificate program in Historic Preservation, and at the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, and lectures at the 92nd Street Y. He is currently writing the sixth edition of the "Blue Guide New York."

Kelly Carroll is the Director of Advocacy and Community Outreach at the Historic Districts Council. She is an adjunct professor in historic preservation at New York University’s School of Professional Studies in the Center for Applied Liberal Arts.

OTHER AGENDA ITEMS: There will be the president's report from Emma Guest-Consales, and committee reports from various GANYC committees.
