The next GANYC monthly membership meeting will be conducted via the online meetings platform Zoom. The online meeting has a capacity of 500 registrants, and is open to the public. 

REGISTRATION

Registration for the Zoom Meeting is a 2-step process:

  1. Confirm your registration via the GANYC website or emailed announcement. 
  2. Once you complete Step One,  you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the link for registering for the Zoom Webinar. The subject of this e-mail will be "Event registration confirmed for GANYC Membership Meeting". Please make sure that this e-mail address is in your address book and if you do not receive this e-mail, check your spam folder. It is highly recommended you click the Zoom link to register in advance of the meeting.   

This two-step process allows us to credit our members for attending and ensures the integrity of our meeting. 

GUEST SPEAKER

Sarah Schulman is a novelist, playwright, screenwriter, nonfiction writer and AIDS historian.  Her 20th book, LET THE RECORD SHOW: A Political History of ACT UP, NY 1987-1993, has just been published by FSG. Sarah is Distinguished Professor at the City University of New York, College of Staten Island and a member of the advisory board of Jewish Voice for Peace.

Sarah will discuss LGBTQ+ political activism beyond the Stonewall Riots;  more specifically, the history of the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) in New York City.
