AGENDA
GUEST SPEAKER 1: Sasha Vosk, who will be speaking about his book, "400 Years of New York History: A Pictorial Guide," which portrays the evolution of the city across four centuries. This incredible visual representation of New York City is the first book to use the unique, almost-three-dimensional illustrations that Vosk creates using the latest in CG visual-art technology. What you see in 400 Years of New York History’s first volume — New York as New Amsterdam in the 1600s is a photorealistic reconstruction of what the city almost certainly looked like over the course of the 17th century.
Vosk is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and muralist who immigrated from Russia, where he was educated as an architect. He is an accomplished illustrator, Emmy-award winning film producer (“Billy Crystal: A Midnight Train to Moscow,”) and a director/producer of the Moscow Circus’ worldwide tours. He is a NY history buff and has more than 30 years of experience using the technique of photorealism in illustration and mural work. Currently, he is a full-time author/illustrator.
GUEST SPEAKER 2: Bob Provost, President & CEO, NY State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA). Robert will be discussing NYSTIA's NYERS4NY initiative and Explore NY Week (January 25-31).
OTHER AGENDA ITEMS: There will be the president's report from Emma Guest-Consales, committee reports from various GANYC committees, and an industry partner vote for On Location Tours.
