GANYC MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Wednesday May 1 2024

The next GANYC monthly membership meeting will take place Wednesday May 1, conducted in-person on the tall ship Wavertree, at the South Street Seaport Museum (89 South St, New York, NY 10038).

We will be hosted downstairs on the "tweendeck", so we will be protected in case of inclement weather.

This meeting is open to the public.

(Members also have exclusive access to a pre-meeting FAM tour of the Wavertree led by our host, Zak Risinger, Director of Engagement & Public Programs at the South Street Seaport Museum. See separate registration.)

We also ask that a few members volunteer to assist with the carrying of folding chairs, and setting them up downstairs on the "tweendeck," prior to the pre-meeting visit, as well as assisting in breaking the chairs down and returning them to their resting spot after the meeting is over.  If you can assist us, please contact Bob Gelber.

Subway: Fulton Center (A, C, J, Z, 4, 5, 2, 3)

Meeting Format

We will have President's Report, and hear from several Committees.

Guest speaker: Barbara Mensch, Author. Among her books is "South Street", an evocative tribute to the lost world of Lower Manhattan's Fulton Fish Market. She has also written "A Falling-Off Place: The Transformation of Lower Manhattan"; and "In the Shadow of Genius: The Brooklyn Bridge and Its Creators".

GANYC is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization. 115 Broadway, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10006
