In celebration of America 250, this walk will visit some historic sites in the Bronx that played a role in the American Revolution. During the war, the Bronx contained vital crossroads leading to and from New York. The area saw fighting as Washington’s army and later other patriot forces tried to maintain control of the area. We’ll discuss the role the area played in the war and visit several key sites fought over by the opposing sides.
