The board has provisionally adopted the following addition to the GANYC bylaws. This concerns our upcoming elections and what would happen in the event of a tie between candidates.
As per our current bylaws, after the board provisionally approves the language for a change to the GANYC bylaws, the GANYC membership has the opportunity to comment on these changes for a period of no less than 7 days. This email serves as notice of the proposed changes, and the comment period will last until Thursday, November 6, one day after the next scheduled membership meeting. After this period, the board will consider all comments and then vote whether to adopt said changes.
If you have comments, feel free to email board@ganyc.org or president@ganyc.org. These proposed changes will also be posted in the members' Facebook page and were emailed to every current member.
We welcome your input. Thanks for your attention!
E. The results shall be announced during the course of the December meeting. No results will be announced prior to the December meeting. (CURRENT LANGUAGE)
