Tour guide Headsets

    Hello,

I'm new to headsets, but a client insists that I use them for her tour, so now I'm hoping for a crash course on what to rent, and who to avoid, and what are the trade offs when selecting one company over another.

My group is coming in October.  They are 40 guests from Italy, and I will be addressing them in English with an Italian translator.  We will be on a coach and on the streets, and sometimes indoors.  The whole event is 3-hours.

Does anyone have any sage advice?  Thanks.

Hi Gorden, I purchased a set of 40 wireless earpieces with 2 transmitters from Retekess. They are great and have been worth every penny. If you’re going to do a lot of large groups, I’d say make the investment. I used to use a voice amplifier for my walking tours in loud areas (especially Ladies’ Mile), and now I use earpieces for any outdoor group with more that 6 pax. I’ve even used them indoors at The Met when I had 15 pax on a tour. I hope this helps! Emma
